For parents looking for a therapist who specializes in the specific developmental trauma of adoption.
When a child has all three of these elements in their home, they can begin to renew their neural pathways and find a sense of security in who they are.
Your therapist will meet with you for 90 minutes for the first session to learn more about your child and the dynamics at home/school/community. Your therapist will then recommend a course of treatment for your child.
Typically,
TheraPlay Services and TBRI interventions are paired to meet your child’s needs. Parent Coaching may also be appropriate, based on the information given.
Connected Counseling values and prioritizes belonging and connection. Many children who have been adopted have a lower sense of belonging and these adoption groups can be a first step in helping your child believe they are not alone in their experience. These groups focus on the “Adoption is Both” mindset, where sadness, grief, anger, and confusion are held with the joy and love an adoption story brings.
If you are interested in learning more, please fill out the interest form. Our Adoption Groups run based on interest in the community.
