Your guide to common questions and concerns
This will be determined by you and your therapist, based on your specific needs. Typically, weekly sessions are recommended for the first 4-6 sessions to understand the issues and establish a trusting relationship where work can be done most effectively.
Your therapist will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to estimate how many sessions they believe they will be treating you for. While your therapist will give a recommendation, the number and frequency of sessions is up to you. Some people seek out therapy for maintenance/prevention, while others seek it out to reduce a specific issue in their life. Please let your therapist know what your goals are, so he/she can estimate treatment length and cost.
The initial session is meant to establish a connection between counselor and client. Counselors also take this time to gain background information to understand each client’s unique circumstances and create a unique plan for them. If you have more questions, please go to the page of the service you are looking for. There is more information on what you can expect in the full treatment of that service there.
Our standard session rate is $180 per hour for an intake session or $145 for a 45-minute therapy session, thereafter. We accept checks and all major credit cards as well as most major HSA debit cards.
We do not accept insurance, but we can provide a "superbill" which you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement. We recommend that you call the number on the back of your card first and inquire about your "out-of-network" benefits to see if your insurance company will provide reimbursement for counseling services.
We help women, children, and families find a sense of wholeness by connecting to themselves and others so they can live to their utmost potential.
